Miss France 2019: A 100% female jury for the first time, a competition more feminine than feminist

The ceremony of the Miss France 2019 election will take place on Saturday, December 15 at the Zenith of Lille and will be broadcast live on TF1 with Jean-Pierre Foucault and Sylvie Tellier.

Planning of the Candidates

Between the 22nd of June in Papeete and the 26th of October in Tinqueux, the 30 regional elections determined the candidates in competition for the Miss France 2019 crown. Compared to last year, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon is not represented and is replaced by a lady of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. The ceremony takes place at the Zenith of Lille on Saturday, December 15, live on TF1, with a 100% female jury chaired by Line Renaud.
After the presentation to the press and the traditional switch to Jean-Pierre Pernaut’s 13-hour newscast on Monday on TF1, the 30 contenders to Maëva Coucke’s succession take off on Tuesday for Mauritius for their preparation trip. In early December, they will return to Lille for the last rehearsals and the decisive passage before the preselection jury which will determine the 12 semi-finalists before the ceremony.
