A statement discharged by the workplace of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China within the metropolis Special body Region (HKSAR) condemned House Speaker city Pelosi and alternative U.S. lawmakers for his or her “erroneous” remarks regarding the continuing unrest in metropolis.

“The distortion of reality, the blind observance of double standards by yank politicians is already near to hysteria. They conspired with radical criminal components and square measure insanely concerned in anti-Chinese criminal cases in metropolis,” the statement browse.

On weekday, the ranking members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee issued a press release warning Beijing that any violence used against “peaceful protesters” in Hong Kong would be a “mistake” and would be met with “universal condemnation and swift consequences.”

Beijing has repeatedly defendant Washington of enjoying a vigorous role in demonstrations that have rocked Hong Kong since March.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry on weekday aforesaid the u. s. shouldn’t “stick their noses in our affairs,” and insisted that Hong Kong may be a Chinese territory, not “American” or “English.”

Originally geared toward preventing a now-suspended bill that might enable surrender of criminal suspects to PRC, the demonstrations have full-grown into a wider protest against China’s rule over the semi-autonomous territory.
